Naya is committed to making a impact and is preserving the planet by making earth friendly, lighter footprints on our earth by making thoughtful choices that matter. They are going with natural, earth friendly products and materials whenever possible, Naya shoes leave a lighter footprint on the earth.

The Earth Friendly Features are:

Vegetable-tanned leathers

Vegetable-tanned linings

Organic fabrics

Natural Cork

Rubber footbeds

Sustainable bamboo heels

Nickel-free metal buckles

These styles are a very innovative resources and creative solutions that will lightened our footprints on the impact of our earth one step at a time.

Shoes made from recycled materials means that this type of material will help keep more unwanted materials in our landfills. One of the many environmentally minded companies is Naturalizer’s, their designers are turning their attention to footwear and seeking ways to make shoes that are earth friendly , attractive and practical, yet is perfect for low-impact living.

You can consider recycling your old shoes, either by taking a picture of them and selling them on Ebay, or donate to the needy, or maybe sale them at a yard sale or take to a thrift store. This will also lighten our footprint on the earth. If you throw those shoes into the landfill it will take for one sole of one shoe 1,000 years to fully decompose. If you have old tennis shoes, there is recycling centers for trading them in. Did you know they can make new roadways with those old shoes? Nike has Reuse-A-Shoe bins located at more than 300 locations in the United States, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand, it’s easy to find a shoe recycling facility near you – so toss your kicks in and keep our earth friendly.

Ok, you see how I get side tracked a bit, got a little sidestepped with earthfriendly green shoes that I almost forgot where I was going with all this.

Naturalizer’s features eco-friendly sandals and shoes with a blend of quality, comfort, sophistication and innovation.

If your order is over $200.00 then your shipping is free. If you have any questions they do have a customer service number that you can call Monday through Saturday from 8am to 9pm CST and Sundays 10-6pm CST.

Talking of recycling, these GoodLife bottles are a stainless steel product that is Earth friendly. Goodlife believes that there is no option but to use the finest materials when it comes to your health! These bottles are 100% non-toxic, lead-free paint (mostly comprised of water)for a very safe product.

Biodegradable products, you will want to check out GO “GREEN STARFISH,INC.”
I found a company that is willing to go the extra mile to conserve our environment. This company “Green Starfish, Inc.” is a family business with a well established commitment towards eco friendly products. They identify and promote the use of products that contribute to sustainable living and provide viable and cost efficient alternatives to food containers and related disposable products that don’t harm our environment. Go to www.gogreenstarfish.com to order your biodegradable products! I forgot to mention they have free shipping! Try this out for that loved one that is far away at school, so that they will know you care as much about our environment as they do.
Also, they have products made from sugarcane (bagasse) as well as those made from corn (PLA) Both 100% biodegradable.
More companies are beginning to realize that using biodegradable products is the only way to help protect our environment. We know that changes start at home! Do you care about your world? Do you recycle, do you use biodegradable products?
Make a big difference by using these products! Remembering to flick off the light switch or picking products that are better for our world, small changes can make a big difference!
Conservation International says that every year, we lose 32 million acres of tropical forests-an area the size of England. And every acre lost provided essential resources to people and the planet.
When you are having a family reunion(which I do twice a year),that may fill up those landfills, using those paper/plasticware used for food and beverages. Go to Green Starfish,Inc and order Biodegradable products that are 100% compostable. What your looking for is the Corn-based dishware. An eco-friendly way to purchase dishware that is made from corn. From utensils, plates and trash bags, cups, bowls, trays,Green Starfish carries what you need! They will break down easily in landfills, many within six months. They are sturdy and strong, putting conventional plasticware out the door.
I care about our environment do you? What do you do to help our environment?
I would appreciate knowing if you recycle or are currently using any biodegradable products that add benefit to our environment.

Leave me a shout out and let me know what products biodegradable or recycled that you use. Thanks for taking the time in advance!

God Bless!

I thought maybe you might need to lightened up your life with solar lights. Take a load off literally, your electric bill and light up your landscape with solar lights. It is absolute light that will stay lite all night long!
I have a variety of solar lights in my yard, ranging from a lighthouse, to a captain of a boat carrying a lantern, to butterflies that change colors, to dewdrops that hang on a shepherds hook, they also change colors, then I have a sphere ball that runs on solar that also changes colors. Now these are just in my back yard.

In my front yard I have more of the elegant look, etched glass with catherdal design in metal around the glass all hanging on shepherd hooks. These are very elegant, puts out a soft white light which lights the way to my front door. My point is this that solar lights give great light at night without costing you a penny in electricity!

Oh, I forgot to tell you that you get what you pay for. Now all of you know that, well I am going to tell you from experience that I bought some of those inexpensive solar lights, you know the ones? They stand on a tall pole, you only pay about $4.00 to $5.00 dollars a piece for them. (I think they may be cheaper now!) They lasted one year. As a matter of fact I need to clean them out of my garage. You can’t get to the batteries easily and they rusted. Ok your saying how could they rust? Well here in the mid-west when it rains, it rains hard and the plastic around the middle below the solar panel filled up with water. I would empty them, but they still rusted. Wasn’t worth the money invested even though it was a small amount, I don’t recommend wasting even small funds on them.

My advice is to buy the ones that you are going to be happy with, makes you smile when you look at them. Take a look at that fairy, isn’t she just gorgeous! Yep, would keep a smile on your face and would light up your yard! Check out www.Exterior-Accents.com“> and let me know what you think about their solar lights!

Tissotweet, what is all that about? You may ask yourself, how did you come up with a name like that?

What’s in a name?
Well let me tell you something about myself, I am a P.K. kid. Now, you know what a P.K. kid is? That’s a preacher’s kid. I was searching for a name to call my website in order to promote God and to help the environment that we live in. I was searching and you know that old gossip song “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”? Well that’s where this name came from.

I work two jobs, one at a Police Department and the other on weekends I take care of a blind women who on the 14th of June is going to be 97. She is a real blessing in my life, in that she reminds me of what I have to be thankful for! This morning as I got her dressed and up, getting her ready to have breakfast, she was having a problem. She asked me to pray for her, I did pray for her and really asked God to bless her! I believe in Miracles. We watch the Gaither’s every Saturday night here at 6:00 P.M., you know as you grow older music can really touch our souls! That’s why one of my favorite songs is “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”.

Not selling anything today folks, just letting you know where I am coming from. Hope you can bless someone today, or be a help to someone along the way! Now, you know what Tissotweet is all about!
Let’s help someone who may need just a prayer or a kind word!

God Bless!

Yesterday we talked about the wonders of using the right tools to get the job done. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about what we are going to put into that garden. Flower Bulbs, onions, tomoto’s,bell peppers, jalepeno’s or just putting in a flower garden.

What type of garden are you planting? I usually plant a little of both! Only because if you have read any of my previous blogs you would know that I love flowers! I always even if the season doesn’t turn out to be what I thought it would be, plant tomoto’s. Nothing taste better than a homegrown tomoto, i think it’s the dirt taste. What do you think about the taste of those tomoto’s in the store? Not very much flavor, give me a home grown one any ole day ..keeps ya wanting to come back for more. I plant the Beef Steak tomoto’s and usually one cherry tomoto plant.

I have a inground swimming pool in my back yard and living in the midwest it can still stay hot at night. I have planting areas by the side, far enough away so that the tomoto’s don’t fall into the pool. The point I am trying to make is the humidity from the pool and the inground watering hoses make these tomoto’s a delicous treat. I haven’t tried the topsy turvey planters yet, have you? Do the tomoto’s fall right on the ground and do they work good for you? I guess I am older and set in my ways and enjoy the old fashioned way of planting plants.

Now as I have stated before I am a flower lover! I always plant petunia’s every year.. They make me happy with all the colors that they come in. Plus the petunia’s attrack hummingbirds! I also put up feeders for them, so they come back year after year. Ok back to the flowers, one of my favorite flowers to plant in Oregon was the Begonia’s. They are a tuberous plant, planting them around March and watch them grow. Just FYI if you plant a Begonia only plant about 1 inch deep in the soil with the seed looking side up. Cover with dirt and water and in about two weeks you will see some sinking soil, don’t despare that means soon your going to have some pretty leaves first, then the beautiful flowers. I love the Orange,Red,Yellow colors of those begonias.

Let me know what your doing with your garden. For some creative things to do in your backyard check out Back Yard X-scapes!

Happy Gardening and God Bless!

You know I told you in my last post how my dad was here from Oregon! Guess what we did? You guessed it yardwork. Well, most of you may not like gardening or yardwork, but I actually love it. I find that if I have the right garden tools I can turn a ugly duckly yard into a beautiful swan garden. Kind of makes me feel close to God playing in the dirt!

I hadn’t really edged along my lawn and concrete pathways since I bought the house in 2006. So edging was really essential to making the lawn look professional. You would be surprised what a difference edging can make. That’s why I am saying the proper garden tools for the job will make that gardening/yard much easier.

I did some shopping around, you see I have a home in Oregon already fully stocked with yard supplies. I have been slowly building up my yard supplies and garden tools back here in the big midwest. I have discovered that for different areas of this United States you can use some garden tools in some states and get away with it, and then on the other hand you might have to invest in something that works for the state that your in.

Let’s take Edger’s in Oregon a lightweight weedeater, can be used for a edger, because the soil is so different. Now here in Missouri, we are rock country. I was replacing the line on a lightweight weedeater every couple of inches…if I made it that far. Wasn’t to happy with this situation as I was stopping, pulling on the line, pushing down, stopping get the picture! They are farily inexpensive these edgers/weedeaters. Works well if you don’t use them as a edger in my opinion.

So I found a answer to my back ache, found a answer to not having to push down to get more line. Do I have your curiousity up yet? This Garden tool is also Eco-friendly! Runs on a 18 volt battery, not gas, not electricity(no cord to run over…I will have to tell you my lawnmower story some time about a cord I ran over). It’s a 2 in 1 Trimmer/Edger. No sore back because the head of this puppy tilts 90%, the line automatically feeds. Did you read that the line automatically feeds! Cool huh! Weighs a whole whopping 7 lbs, has it’s own built in wheels, has a 30 day no risk money back guarantee!

They have a payment plan of 3 payments of $33.33, plus a free lifetime of supply line! Ok every year for weedeating I always have to replace the line. Well now I don’t have two because I get a free lifetime supply.

“>

So bottom line here is if you want the job done right, for your garden or yard, always have the right tools for the job. If your husband wants to know how come you spent so much money on an edger/trimmer remind him of the right tools for gardening and yardwork will save on his pocketbook and back in the long run. See you on the green side!

P.S. Let me know how this worked out for you!

God Bless!

Childhood, watch this video…tell me what you think?

Childhood Memories and the Wonder of it all. How great it is to be a child and everything being so new.

This past week I have been reflecting while my Dad and step mom have been here from Oregon, I have so many memories! How wonderful to be a child. Childhood holds all the wonder of it all for us! I am very thankful that I have wonderful parents, and a brother and sister that I can share those memories with.

With Mom’s Day already gone and Father’s Day just around the corner, I can only say that being a child and not having to face any responsibilities and any cares was a blasted good thing! Don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. Being a parent is the hardest job isn’t it! I had good Christian parents who always cared what went on in my life. Do you have anyone in your life like that?

Maybe it’s time to get out all those old home movies and watch what little cares you had and all the good times, what a wonder! You know what they say “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” I find that I to often forget this saying and I do sweat the small stuff. It really will not matter whether or not the ceral was spilled on the floor or some small person forgot to raise the lid on the toilet and you sat on it.

Let’s take a look at some of the things that really do matter.
*Life and Death
*Serious Injuries
*Starvation
*Loved ones

Well we can say that Boo Boo’s and scrapes as a child felt like a major issue. Watch that homemade video above and tell me what you think, and what about your childhood memories? Are you sweating the small stuff?

“To whom much is given, much is expected.”

Guest post by Sahar Simmons
I learned a long time ago what these words mean. I am blessed with a healthy loving
family who encouraged creativity and expression, and allowed me to go after
my dreams even if I stumbled along the way.
They don’t really expect anything from me except to pass along the life lessons that I
was taught. At the end of the day we can only be as good as the examples we set and legacies we leave behind. “Briana’s Neighborhood” is my legacy.

“Briana” is the eight year-old “mini me”.
She allows me to express my inner child that refuses to disappear and always has a lot to
say. There is an inquisitive child that lives within each of us.

A little lighter on the wallet?
